Omaha Doctor Tests First New Acne Medication In Decade
OMAHA, Neb. -- A new topical medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration is showing promise in the treatment of acne. Omaha dermatologist Dr. Joel Schlessinger's office is part of a national trial of Ziana. "This is a form of Retin-A but it's compounded with an antibiotic called clindamycin, so it's a combination product," Schlessinger said. "The studies that we did on this product several years ago show the combination of these two products together actually get better results than the one product alone in the morning and the one product at night." .
