Psoriasis Complex 7003 offers proven efficacy for skin conditions such as acne, rosacea and psoriasis. In studies, Complex 7003 has proven to be up to 50% more effective in comparison to pharmaceutical and cosmetic products in reducing inflammation. In a Vivo Test carried out on 2 panels of 50 volunteers, Complex 7003 again improved the clinical signs of skin sensitivity by more than 60% over a 28 day period versus a placebo.

Panel: No failure limits on birth control pills

The government shouldn't set failure limits on birth control pills because that could put less-effective but still beneficial contraceptives off limits to women, federal health advisers recommended Wednesday.

The FDA scheduled meetings both Tuesday and Wednesday with its outside experts to gather advice on future guidelines that drug makers could follow in seeking approval for new hormonal contraceptives.

The FDA is looking at how well studies done prior to approval of new birth control pills reflected their "real-world" use. Typically, that use is less consistent and reliable than it is in clinical studies.

Also, newer versions of the pill aren't being tested on women who reflect the broader population. The women in clinical trials are younger, skinnier and healthier than are U.S.

Where did educator's deduction go?

I'm a teacher in the Penn-Harris-Madison school system. I've been taking the special teacher's deduction (up to $250) for several years. I started working on my tax return the other day, and I can't find any place to list the deduction. What happened? Aren't those expenses deductible any more?

M.J., Osceola

You can blame Congress for this one, M.J. We know, we know, when something isn't right, it's always Congress' fault: acne, crabgrass, disappointing bowl-game performances by the Notre Dame gridders, etc., etc., but this time it really IS their fault.
